Peyton's Suess Cake

Three tiered Dr.Suess cake with cut-out & hand painted Cat in the Hat, Horton, Thing 1& 2 and fish (can't remember if he has a name!).  Airbrushed bottom tier which is something I don't do very often, fun to play with.

Lego Cake

Inspiration from many other Lego cakes. Making the fondant bricks was time consuming but fun to do and I'm happy with how it came out.

5th Grade "Graduation" Cupcakes

This was for my son's end of the year party.  They had a Luau theme with grass skirts, lei's, a smoothie bar and an AWESOME DJ.  Lots of fun, but kinda sad too!  Top cake has the school mascot "Howie" made from modeling chocolate, gumpaste surf board and the sand was a mixture of graham crackers and brown sugar.  Cupcakes topped with fondant accents and cocktail umbrellas.

Ghostbusters Cake

OK, the ghost should only have three fingers, but Jack was turning 4...so we added one!  Arm & hand is fondant...slime is piping gel over green fondant.

Happy Birthday Dr. Suess

One of my work collegues had twin boys turning five on the same day as Dr. Suess's birthday, and they happen to LOVE Dr. Suess.  I've done Dr.Suess cakes before and really enjoy handpainting the characters.  All accents are fondant and the cakes were white and chocolate cakes with cookies & cream and Heath Bar fillings.

Frill Cake

Originally saw this cake on Amy Atlas's blog. I'm not sure who came up with this design, but when a customer requested it I was excited to try it and it was fun to do.
