Bentley Cake

This was my first modeled car and I spent HOURS on it. OMG, this took way longer than I thought it would but my client loved it so it was worth it. Also happy with cake part which was and Andrea Sullivan design (been "inspired" by a lot of great designers lately...thank you.)

Train Cake

This little train cake was so fun to put together.  My favorite part?  The pond!  I used piping gel colored with some blue gel paste, rolled some fondant rocks and little fondant duck.  Funniest thing about it is I was watching Johnny Depp in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when I was decorating it and now every time I see this cake, I start singing "Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka..."

Monkey Cupcake Tower

The design inspiriation for this set up was the new baby's bedding...it was so cute.  The cupcake toppers were all cut by hand and very time consuming.  I really liked the palm leaves and kept that template to use again (hopefully!)

Retirement Cake

This was for a lady who was retiring from a career as a seamstress. It was such a fun cake to make...I loved making the buttons and the thread reels. Everything fondant.

2010 Mrs. Michigan Cake

This was for a repeat customer who was recently crowned "Mrs. Michigan." The pageant gives her a going away party before she leaves to compete in the Mrs. USA pageant in Las Vegas next week, this cake was for her party. Crown was gumpaste with non-edible gems.

Horse Cake

This was an order from a regular customer who has a friend who LOVES horses. I was pretty happy but ran out of chocolate fondant so the mane wasn't as full as I wanted it to be.  Anyhow, had fun carving and dusting it.
